What does it take to do a Half Iron Triathlon?

I’ve just signed up for my first triathlon.

Not a Sprint.

Not an Olympic.

A Half Iron.

70.3 miles. Swim – Bike – Run.

What does that have to do with this blog? Well, two things:

1) I’m going to try to keep track of my training here. Write about my experiences and the things that either work or don’t work while I get ready for my triathlon of hell. 🙂

2) I need your help to make it to the triathlon. For training, I’ve joined Team ‘n Training. A group of people working together to get ready for their Half Iron Triathlon. But we are doing something more than that. We are also raising money to help combat blood cancers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS uses the funds raised to fund new research into fighting specifically blood cancers. Much of the research is used to fight other cancers as well. Also, they help the families of people diagnosed with cancer.

So, if you want to help me suffer while also helping others suffer less, there a link at the top of the page that will take you to my TnT donation page. Donations of $25 and above are tax deductible. Here is another link to the page.
